A big part of any story is how Jesus comes to us where we are. He does not expect us to come to Him, but instead seeks us out in our darkest moments. This story is interesting because it is of a man who knew God first, then fell away. Even in the dark days of addiction, the power of Christ is on full display when you hear the story, and how He wept with His beloved in the midst of that darkness.
