Elijah was considered an ambassador for God in various ways. Here Elijah proclaims a famine, and God provides for him and others because of that obedience. Elijah's obedience to God brought about God's provision in different ways. When we follow the lead of Christ in our lives, we can trust that he will provide what is needed - and he may even use us to provide something for others.
