Peter doesn’t shy away from the pains that this world is going to throw at the faithful, but to be fair the world will throw pain at everyone whether they are believers or not. Peter tells the faithful that if they can keep their eyes upward and on Heavenly things, then we will be able to endure whatever this world throws at us.
