David seems to 'experience' crucifixion; though we know that he never actually did in his lifetime. But we do know that David knew Jesus; not by name, but in essence. In his relation with Jesus, David is able to put into words what Christ felt in those torturous and agonizing hours that he hung on the cross. Ultimately, David tells of an underserved punishment that must be submitted to in obedience to God.
