Three Parts of Morality

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, and Lent is a time where all Christians are encouraged to better themselves in preparation for Easter. So often, Lent is seen as a time to just give up something bad for us, but in order to fill the hole that is left we must know what fits. This is a hard thing to do, but it is necessary for us to become the people that God is calling us to be. When ships set off on a journey they must be seaworthy, the interior must be in working order, and the course must be set for the right destination. Like ships, we too must make sure that we are ready for what God has in store for us.
