Lust is usually seen as something that is sexual, bit it does not always have to be that. Lust seeks to use someone for our own means, it objectifies a person so that we can no longer see them as human, but instead see them as an object to gratify our own desires. This is seen easily enough in sexual desire, but it is seen in other areas such as political friendships, alliances, and other relationships that are "for profit." However, love gives respect and honor to the other person. We lust after something, but we are in love with someone.
